2 Years of Food Blogging…..

It’s been 2 fun and tasty years of Food Blogging! I just want to thank EVERYONE who reads my food blogs, tries my recipes, and comments on my CookwithEva Facebook Page ! I really appreciate the support and all your food recommendations, so please keep them coming!

Since we are expecting a new addition to our family, the good eats have decreased cause so many of the most delicious food must be avoided! I can’t wait to feel back to normal soon, hopefully my hubby and I can continue our food journey!

Happy Eating and Cooking!

Happy One Year to Myself!

Today is the 1 year anniversary for CookwithEva! I can’t believe that a year ago, I was just telling my hubby that I was interested in creating a food blog, with about a day of thinking and wanting a new fun change in my life away from my real job, I just did it! Why not, I had nothing to lose. And really, all I had to do was keep eating, cooking and photographing my food models, my favorite hobbies!

I wasn’t sure if anyone was going to read it, I wasn’t sure if anyone was going to comment, and I didn’t know what an impact social media could be. Starting this blog made me realize how much food affects everyone in such a satisfying way, putting a smile on people’s faces as they are placed on the table to be served.  Like how sports make conversations for men and how Hollywood entertainment makes conversations for women, food is universal and creates discussions for everyone!

During the year, I was very fortunate and had the opportunity to find my LOVE of FOOD in Japan, Guangzhou, Singapore and Hong Kong, and of course I did so at home too! I hope that this upcoming year brings me to many more mouth watering eateries!

I am happy to be sharing my mom’s recipes, happy to be sharing my food thoughts, happy to be sharing food photos and really happy to hear everyone’s opinions and food recommendations!  Everyone wants to leave a mark during their lifetime, this is my mark!

If you are reading this, THANK YOU for being a fan!  Happy Eating and Cooking!

Food-You Make Everyone Get into a Better Mood

As I finished my lunch, a snack and preparing myself for what I should have for dinner, I am reminded about how food is the best topic for all conversations, the best reasons to have gatherings with friends, and the one thing each and everyone of us, men and women, have in common. Even as you log into the world of Facebook, all your friends have pictures of food from their home cooking or from their favorite restaurants. I know I can’t be the only one with about 75% of my friends posting food photos! And just as I am typing this, my own husband just emailed me a photo of what he’s about to devour! And yes, he wanted me to guess where he was eating!

Food is, as we all know, a necessity in life. But food also brings a proud feeling to those who create them, a sense of desire when we smell them, and pure happiness to those who see the beauty in them. I LOVE LOVE LOVE food, thank you food, I always look forward to seeing you!

Food blogging on my new BB!

Now I can food blog on the go if I want! Using my BB is still very new to me but luckily I’ve trained on my hubbies BB before he bought me my own. I think he was tired of me using his phone to take food photos! Haha!

Website is Coming to Life!

Yesterday my hubby came home and surprised me by showing me my website with my domain name…it suddenly felt real! It was no longer my tester site! YAY! He made a few tweaks here and there, and found this cutie pie girl to the right with sparkling eyes…hungry eyes? HAHA!

Thank you to my husband for being supportive to this new hobby of mine!

Researching on Chinese Chefs for Work

Today I’ve been researching on Chinese Chefs for a client. I swear that this annoying client keeps wanting Asian stuff during their program. She’s already wanted to add the Japanese Tea Garden during her museum tour, then wanted to add a Chinese Tea Tasting at the Imperial Tea Court after visiting the Asian Art Museum! Then she wanted to upgrade her San Francisco Chinatown tour by doing the Wok Wiz Tour with Shirley Fong-Torres. And now I come to find out that Shirley Fong-Torres may not be available so I may have to research on Martin Yan! Maybe I should just do the damn tour!
