The Ingredients:

  • 1 Bunch of long Green Beans
  • 6 Garlic Cloves
  • Olive Oil
  • 1-1.5 Tablespoons XO Sauce
  • 1 Teaspoon Soy Sauce
  • Salt

Special Notes:

  • There are many XO Sauce Brands, my mom makes her own XO Sauce and I have never found anything better at the markets. But, one that I’ve tried and think is tasty is XO Sauce by Lee Kum Kee.


  • Clean and rinse the Green Beans and chop into about 2 -3 inches long, also chop the dry ends off
  • Chop the Garlic Cloves

  • Heat Oil in the Pan
  • Add the chopped Garlic Cloves
  • Add the XO Sauce and Stir
  • Add the Green Beans
  • Sprinkle Salt and Soy Sauce and Stir
  • Stir for about 8-10 minutes
  • Check flavor by tasting, add salt or soy sauce if needed
